As part of our Diversity Promotion Project, we are implementing various initiatives aimed at promoting diverse work styles and creating a workplace where every employee can thrive with peace of mind. As part of these efforts, we held a “Caregiving Session” on February 5, 2026, in a hybrid format combining in-person and online participation, with 53 people attending. Centered on the theme of “Balancing Caregiving and Work,” this session featured guidance from an instructor as well as a session led by employees with personal caregiving experience. During the guidance portion, the instructor discussed key points and mindsets to keep in mind for balancing caregiving and work, as well as the importance of the caregiver’s own career and mental health. Additionally, drawing on actual caregiving experiences, participants shared a variety of insights beyond the instructor’s guidance, providing a concrete and practical learning opportunity. Through this session, we received feedback from participants such as, “Hearing from colleagues in the same situation put my mind at ease,” and “It gave me a chance to think about the future.” This reaffirmed the importance of not shouldering caregiving alone, but rather balancing work and caregiving by effectively utilizing the support of those around us.
Moving forward, our company will continue to promote diversity, respect diversity, and foster an environment where employees can balance work with various life events—including caregiving—as we strive to realize the “happiness for all” enshrined in our corporate philosophy.
