Thai Escorp addresses diverse requirements in four business sectors: steel and ferrous raw materials, nonferrous metals, machinery and electronics, and welding materials. Our objective is to boost auto and air-conditioning related business that is forecast as a growth area in Thailand, and to increase machinery business projects for Japanese corporate customers.
The OPC drum business is our main type of nonferrous metal business in Malaysia. Working closely with customers and suppliers we offer stable, localized provision of appropriate materials for price and quality, on the basis of a quick reading of market data. We are also shifting from distribution to project investment, building up a financing arm as we strengthen trading company functions.
Shinko Shoji Singapore's marketing activities demonstrate its comprehensive strength in wide-ranging segments, including nonferrous metals, welding materials, ferrous raw materials and steel. Notable in recent years has been the development of exports and trilateral trading in nonferrous metal products, welding materials and ferrous scrap to the Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia.
From our core business of nonferrous metals and welding materials to new product development The strength of Shinsho in the Philippines lies in being able to import and market to the export-processing zone free of tax. Currently we specialize in sales of aluminum can stock, sheet copper for semiconductors and welding materials for the shipbuilding industry. In the future we aim to increase our business handling ferrous raw materials and steel products and take on new projects.
The strength of Shinsho in Indonesia is that it covers all five units, unique among subsidiaries in the ASEAN region. We can supply the auto, air conditioning, and energy sectors with wide-ranging flexibility. We are also involved in import/export of iron, stainless steel, aluminum and copper scrap.
In addition to steel products and ferrous raw materials, we are developing business in other fields including nonferrous metals and machinery. We recently invested in a joint venture with Washin Kogyo Group and set up Vina Washin Aluminum for aluminum extrusion processing. We are supplying high quality, high strength aluminum products to regional markets.
