Fundamental Principles

Since its founding in the year of 1946, the Shinsho Corporation Group (Shinsho Corporation and its consolidated subsidiaries, hereinafter referred to as the "Group") has served as a trading company supporting the creation of tomorrow's products and contributing to society. The Group has respected the diversity and human rights of all individuals associated with the Group, aiming for long-term coexistence and mutual prosperity in societal development.
Moving forward, in all business activities of the Group, we will continue to promote initiatives related to the respect for human rights. We are committed to realizing our corporate philosophy: "Integrity” is Shinsho Corporation’s company motto. We are committed toward securing prosperity for our clients and shareholders through the creation of new values.

1. Scope of Application

This Policy applies to all employees within the Group. Furthermore, we expect to communicate the purpose and content of this policy to all business partners, including suppliers affiliated with the Group, and anticipate your understanding and support.

2. Support for International Standards and Legal Compliance

We support international standards on human rights, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Bill on Human Rights, the International Labour Organization (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, and the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact. We are committed to promoting initiatives aligned with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
Furthermore, we ensure compliance with human rights-related laws applicable in the countries and regions where we conduct our business activities.

3. Implementation Structure

Under the auspices of the Shinsho Corporation Sustainability Committee established in April 2022, various departments and stakeholders both within and outside the company collaborate and work collectively on issues related to human rights, including awareness of various challenges, fostering a common understanding across the entire Group, and implementing human rights due diligence.

4. Prioritized Human Rights Issues

The human rights issues that the Group particularly emphasizes as requiring prevention and mitigation of negative impacts through our business activities are as follows:

1.Prevention of all forms of unfair discrimination and bias
2.Management of appropriate working hours and assurance of fair wages
3.Ensuring a safe and healthy working environment
4.Prevention of harassment
5.Prevention of forced labor and child labor

5. Human Rights Due Diligence

We conduct human rights due diligence to identify and assess the negative impacts that our company group's business activities may have on human rights. We strive to prevent and mitigate these impacts.

6. Remediation and Correction

In the event that the business activities of the Group cause, contribute to, or are found to be involved in negative impacts on human rights, or when there is suspicion of such, we undertake appropriate dialogue and procedures to address and correct the situation.

7. Reporting and Disclosure

Our efforts in respecting human rights within the Group will be periodically disclosed through various channels such as the website, integrated reports, and business reports.

8. Education and Training

To ensure the integration and permeation of this policy into business activities, the Group conducts appropriate education and training for employees.
