Our company, in collaboration with Local Energy Systems Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “LES”) (investors: Kumagai Gumi Co., Ltd., Kiyomoto Iron Works Co., Ltd., and our company), exhibited at the 11th “International Biomass Exhibition,” held at Tokyo Big Sight from March 17 to 19, 2026. This exhibition is one of Japan’s leading specialized trade shows bringing together renewable energy and decarbonization technologies, and it served as a valuable opportunity for our company to exchange views directly with many stakeholders.
At our booth, we displayed actual samples of “Black Bark Pellets” made from domestically sourced bark, introducing their fuel characteristics, supply system, and potential contributions to a decarbonized society, while clearly communicating their differences from conventional biomass fuels and their unique quality features. Furthermore, given that LES’s Saijo Plant is scheduled to commence commercial operations in October 2026, we utilized this exhibition as a platform for preliminary PR prior to the start of mass production. During the event, we welcomed many visitors, primarily from the power and industrial sectors who are considering decarbonization measures and fuel transitions, and received specific inquiries regarding implementation and testing.
On the first day, March 17, Mr. Ueda, President of Kumagai Gumi, and our company’s President Takashita visited the exhibition and toured the booth together. They exchanged views on the exhibition content and future business potential, and shared a common understanding regarding potential collaboration. We will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by providing decarbonization solutions, particularly in the biomass sector.
