2026 New Employee Orientation Held

Today, we held the 2026 New Employee Orientation Ceremony at our Osaka headquarters and welcomed 13 new employees to our company. Following this ceremony, the new employees will participate in a group training program to learn business etiquette and acquire foundational knowledge about their roles, after which they will be assigned to their respective departments. Subsequently, under the guidance of senior staff members, they will gain practical experience through approximately six months of on-the-job training (OJT).

<Message from President Takashita to the New Employees>

To everyone who has officially joined our company today, I offer my heartfelt congratulations.
We wholeheartedly welcome you as our new colleagues.
I would also like to express my deep gratitude and respect to your families, who have supported you over the years.
Today marks the beginning of your journey as working professionals.
As you possess the greatest abundance of time, it is safe to say that you have limitless potential.
On this milestone day, I hope you will never lose your passion for taking on exciting new challenges, learning and absorbing everything you can, and putting that knowledge into practice. I also hope you will keep in mind that you are enriched through your interactions with others, and that sincerity, trust, and gratitude are the most important qualities a person can possess.
Our company was established in 1946 by Kobe Steel, Ltd., and this year marks our 80th anniversary. As the core trading company of the KOBELCO Group, we have achieved unique growth by building a diverse supply chain centered on two pillars: materials and raw materials, and machinery.
Our strengths lie in the KOBELCO Group’s diverse business portfolio and relationships with numerous premium customers, our expertise as a manufacturer-affiliated trading company, and our global supply chain, which leverages our worldwide network of offices to build a global supply network.
Today, the world is rife with uncertainty. Major changes are required to overcome various risks and challenges, including geopolitical risks, energy resources, carbon neutrality, and rising prices.
It is precisely within these changes that opportunities lie, and we must chart a path to growth through portfolio transformation. As a company committed to realizing a sustainable society, we will leverage our strengths to create future value for society by providing solutions across the entire cross-industry supply chain. I have high hopes that you will bring a breath of fresh air and help Shinko Shoji evolve into a company that makes society better and more prosperous.
Our corporate philosophy, which I am sure you have all firmly engraved in your hearts—““Integrity” is Shinsho Corporation’s company motto.
We are committed toward securing prosperity for our clients and shareholders through the creation of new values”—embodies the spirit of integrity and our mission to build a prosperous society and bring happiness to all.
To put this corporate philosophy into practice, we have established a “Purpose” that articulates our reason for being in society in more accessible terms.

“To take on change, starting with ourselves.
To create, connect, and unlock the inherent value within people.
To create an exciting future."

This is our Purpose.
This Purpose embodies a strong determination: that each employee, within their connections to society and those around them, will take on every challenge as their own, actively strive to change themselves, and create shared, exciting future value through the power of human endeavor.
I believe that by always centering our daily work on this Purpose—asking ourselves, “Are we taking on change?”, “Are we creating value?”, and “Are we moving toward an exciting future?”—and continuing to seek the answers in collaboration with our colleagues, we will become individuals who can contribute to society.
I wholeheartedly support all your new challenges ahead.
In closing, please keep the feelings you had on your first day as a working professional firmly in your hearts, pay close attention to your health and safety, and give your all to both your work and your life.
I sincerely hope that you will achieve your goals here at our company and attain both material and spiritual fulfillment.
I conclude my remarks by hoping that you will quickly adapt to the company’s atmosphere and thrive with vigor and enthusiasm.
Thank you very much.
